- How long will therapy last?
I work on an open ended, it takes as long as it takes basis. The length of the therapy depends on several factors. We will jointly review progress every 5 sessions and during that review we both justify what work needs to be done in order to reach your goal.
I want you through therapy and out there enjoying your life as soon as possible, so I will not keep you in therapy any longer than is absolutely necessary.
- Can I have the appointment at the same time every week?
In most cases, yes. So if you wanted the 9:15 appointment every Monday morning, I will do everything I can to reserve that slot for you in future.
- I need to reschedule my appointment – what do I do?
You must call and speak to me on the telephone at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- Can we schedule breaks?
Yes, if you wanted to have a week off now and then, that is fine.
- How does the therapy end?
Every five sessions we jointly review progress and see where you are in comparison to your desired outcome. If we are near that point, we will slow the therapy down, for example from every week to every other week, and presuming no further problems arise, you can end the therapy.
- What if the problem comes back after therapy ends?
If this happens, give me a call and we will discuss the situation, and what is happening. In most cases I can provide you with some telephone coaching (free of charge) to get you back on track quickly, but if you wanted to book an appointment then I can arrange that too.
- What payment methods are accepted?
I welcome payment by cash at the end of the appointment, or you can pay in advance via a credit or debit card by following the link HERE to my Paypal payment site. Card payments must be made before the appointment.
- What if I see you in public?
Occasionally this does happen. My policy is that I will never approach you or engage you in public, outside of therapy. If you wanted to come over and speak to me, that is fine, but you must make first contact.
- Is my information safe with you? Will you share it?
Yes, your information is safe. All records are stored securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act. I will not share any information or personal details.
